Pune Heatwave: Lohgaon, Koregaon Park Record 40°C for Second Consecutive Day
Pune, 13th March 2025: The heatwave in Pune continues to intensify, with Lohgaon and Koregaon Park recording temperatures above 40°C for the second consecutive day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the scorching conditions will persist for the next two days.
Several other areas in the city also experienced extreme heat, with Wadgaonsheri, Magarpatta, Chinchwad, and Hadapsar recording temperatures above 39°C.
Experts have urged residents to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the rising temperatures, advising people to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and wear light clothing.
With summer setting in earlier than usual, Puneites are bracing for more sweltering days ahead.
