The hens of some poultry farms at Mhatobachi Alandi in the Loni Kalbhor area of Pune district have stopped laying eggs for the last eight days, causing the loss of millions of rupees to the poultry operator. The poultry operator has lodged a complaint with the police.

Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mokashi, in-charge, Loni Kalbhor Police Station, said, “Laxman Bhondwe is a poultry operator from Alandi area of Mhatobachi in Haveli taluka. He had bought the food for hens from a company on 11th April. And after consuming it the hens stopped laying eggs. This led poultry operators to examine the hens in a lab.
