Pune hosts 3rd Krishnapatnam Port Golden Eagles Golf Championship
Kapil Dev and International Golfer Ashley Ramsey participated in the tournament
Pune, November 11, 2017: 3rd season of Krishnapatnam Port Golden Eagles Golf Championship held at the swanky Oxford and Country Club, Pune.
The tournament witnessed participation from 100 golfers from more than 100 companies across India. India’s favorite captain and cricketer turned golfer, Mr. Kapil Dev has been the face of the tournament since the time it kicked off. The legend was present at the event to participate and also to felicitate the winners.
International Golfer Ashley Ramsey was also present on the occasion to back the tournament and interact with the players. The event also witnessed participation from celebrity golfers like Madhavan and Mandira Bedi.
Mr. Kapil Dev on the occasion said, “As a sportsman I like to promote the sport and golf is a great game to unwind, reflect and rephrase one’s sanity while indulging in its leisurely place. I would want extend my heartiest congratulations to the winners and the organizer of the tournament – Krishnapatnam Port for organizing a tournament at such a grand scale. Such tournaments will encourage more young golfers to be a part of this sport which is still budding in India.”
Commenting on the occasion Mr. C Sasidhar – MD Krishnapatnam Port Company Limited said “Every year we try to take this tournament to another lever and this year we have extended the game to a total of four cities. We have always believed in doing things with a desired differentiation and our golf championship is one among those. We are also in the process of building India’s first ocean-linked golf property. We aim to showcase it as an excellent platform to showcase their talent and encouraging golf as an emerging sport in the country.”
Pune is the second city of the four venues slated for this year’s series. The consequent games of the four city event will be next staged across Hyderabad Golf Association, Hyderabad on 18thNovember and Jaypee Greens, Delhi on 03rd December ‘17.
