Pune: Human Body Partly Consumed by Dogs Found in Yerawada
Yerawada, 8th November 2024: A disturbing incident unfolded in Pune’s Yerawada area where a partially decomposed human body was discovered in the bushes near Nyati Unitree, within the Yerawada Police Station limits. The Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Control Room received information about the body around 8:45 AM yesterday. The remains, partly consumed by stray dogs, have yet to be identified. Only the lower half of the body remains intact, while the upper portion, including the skull, appears to have been severely damaged.
Upon examination, police estimated that the body had been decomposing for eight to ten days. The condition of the body suggests it may belong to a homeless individual, as the area is frequently used by destitute people for shelter. The remains have been sent to Sassoon General Hospital for a post-mortem, and the Yerawada Police are actively investigating the case.
