Pune: Husband Attacks Wife With Axe When She Refuses To Stay In The Marriage
Fursungi, 15th December 2022: A husband attacked his wife and mother-in-law with an axe in the Fursungi area when the wife refused to continue their married life. In this regard, a case of attempted murder was registered against Chetan Jangle.
The injured wife has been identified as Sonali Chetan Jangle (27), a resident of Fursungi. Sonali lodged a complaint at Hadapsar police station about this.
Chetan and Sonali had arguments due to family reasons. Due to this, Sonali left for her maternal house. Hence, Chetan was angry with his wife. Chetan went to his wife’s maternal house around midnight.
He asked Sonali to come home with him, but she refused. He then started attacking Sonali with an axe. After that, Chetan attacked his mother-in-law, Santoshi, with an axe when she tried to mediate the quarrel. The accused, who has escaped, is being searched for by the police. Police sub-inspector Damre is investigating the case.
