Pune: Hydrochloric Acid Tanker Overturns in Tamhini Ghat, PMRDA Responds Swiftly

Mulshi, 25th May 2025: A chemical tanker carrying hydrochloric acid overturned on a stretch of the Tamhini Ghat road, triggering an emergency response to prevent environmental and safety risks in the ecologically sensitive region.

The accident occurred earlier on Sunday and immediately drew the attention of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) fire brigade, which dispatched a team and fire engine to the location.

The team is currently assessing the extent of the spill, with containment and neutralization measures being implemented and prevent the release of toxic fumes.
