Pune: ICAI Recognizes Academic Excellence and Empowers Women Achievers
Pune, 25th March 2024: Celebrating International Women’s Day, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), Pune Chapter, bestowed honors upon outstanding students and accomplished women. A total of 180 students were lauded for their exceptional performance in the Final, Intermediate, and Foundation exams held in December 2023 by ICAI. The event also featured vibrant cultural performances showcasing the talents of the students.
Dr. Anjali Sane, Dean of the School of Economics & Commerce at MIT World Peace University, graced the occasion as the chief guest. CMA Gopal Bhutada, Senior General Manager of Supply Chain Finance at Tata Motors Limited, was honored as the guest of honor.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including ICAI Central Council Member CMA Neeraj Joshi, President of ICAI Pune Chapter CMA Nagesh Bhagane, Vice President CMA Nilesh Kekan, Secretary CMA Srikanth Ippalpalli, Treasurer CMA Rahul Chincholkar, Coaching Committee Chairman CMA Himanshu Dave, Student Coordination Committee Chairman CMA Amey Tikle, and former President CMA Amit Apte, among others.
In addition to the felicitation ceremony, a seminar on ‘Inspire Inclusivity’ was organized to commemorate International Women’s Day. Distinguished speakers, including CA Dr. Revathi Paithankar, Chairperson of Bahgini Nivedita Sahakari Bank; Meera Badve, Founder of Nivant Andh Mukta Niwasaya; Nivedita Ekbote, Deputy Secretary of Progressive Education Society; and CMA Lily Shukla, Senior Finance General Manager at Finolex Industries, shared their insights and experiences. The event was skillfully coordinated by CMA Tanuja Mantrawadi, CMA Anuja Dabhade, and CMA Neha Dharurkar.
Dr. Anjali Sane emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity, innovation, and skills among students, while Neeraj Joshi elucidated the vast career opportunities available to CMAs in various industries. Amit Apte and Gopal Bhutada also provided valuable guidance to the students, who, in turn, shared their inspiring journeys with the audience.
