Pune In Top 10 Cities That Produces Most Garbage

Pune, October 31, 2020: Pune city has found its name in the top 10 cities of the country which produces the highest quantity of garbage.

Every day nearly 11,000 tonnes of garbage is produced in the city out of which 5,500 tonne is Covid garbage while rest is collected from the societies and other dwellings.

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has removed the dust bins from the roads and focused on collecting wet and dry garbage. However, it was seen that the Puneites are not very keen on segregating the garbage. Similarly, piles of garbage are found outside the residential limits in the city.
