Pune : Income Tax Department Conducts Raids at Neelkanth Jewellers

Pune 19th Oct 2023: The Income Tax Department has initiated searches at various locations linked to a city jeweller. The department officials arrived in more than 40 vehicles at the showroom of a well-known Nilkanth Jewelers and the residence of the jeweler’s director. The searches have sparked discussions across the city. Areas like Hadapsar, Magarpatta, and Baner in Pune are being searched by the officials. The raids according to reports started in wee hours on Thursday.

According to the reports, over 50 officials from the Income Tax Department are involved in this extensive operation. They are meticulously examining every aspect of the jeweler’s business operations. Neelkanth Jewellers has ten branches in Pune city.

The Income Tax Department has extended its scrutiny to all the branches and the residence of the jeweler’s director. The reasons behind the searches have not yet been disclosed. However, there is a possibility that this investigation may continue throughout the day or even extend further.
