Pune: Indian Air Force to Showcase Indigenous Excellence at Maharashtra MSME Defence Exposition

Pune, 18th February 2024: In recognition of major contribution to defence sector towards nation building, Government of Maharashtra has extended an invitation for participation and capability demonstration of the Indian Air Force during the upcoming Maharashtra MSME Defence Exposition at International Exhibition Convention Centre, Moshi, Pune from 24 Feb to 26 Feb 2024.

Exhibition aims to showcase capabilities of large number of MSMEs, private companies, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) laboratories and Defence Public Sector Unit (DPSU) set ups in Maharashtra. Organizers have also planned to invite students from colleges and schools to interact with participating agencies.

IAF is planning to demonstrate its indigenous capabilities through static display of new generation Advanced Light Helicopter MK-IV and Light Combat Helicopter in addition to Aakash and SAMAR missile systems. The IAF stall will also showcase products developed by its internal agencies through collaboration with private industry partners. High ranking officials of IAF will be interacting with the participating industries to make them aware of future requirements of IAF towards achieving self-reliance in line with the ‘Aatma-Nirbhar Bharat’ goal of the Govt. of India.

IAF will also be setting up publicity stall at the venue to attract the youth to join Indian Air Force. Induction Publicity and Exhibition Vehicle (IPEV) will be placed at the site to showcase near real life depiction of the range of functions and activities undertaken by IAF. Participating students from various educational institutions will be briefed about various opportunities available in the IAF to make a promising career. They will also be briefed about the benefits of joining Indian Air Force as an Officer as well as an Agniveervayu (men and women).
