Pune: Instagram Friend Lures And Rapes Married Woman, FIR Registered
Chinchwad, 7th April 2023: A shocking incident has come to light in Pimpri-Chinchwad, where a married woman was allegedly lured into a fraudulent marriage and raped in different parts of Lonavala and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities.
The 32-year-old victim has filed a complaint at Chinchwad police station, and a case has been registered against the 31-year-old accused, who is currently absconding.
Chinchwad police are actively searching for the accused, according to information provided by the police. The victim and the accused met through Instagram and became friends, after which the accused reportedly took five lakh rupees and five tolas of gold jewelry from her on the pretext of financial difficulty. The accused then allegedly lured the married woman into marriage and took her to different parts of Lonavala and Pimpri-Chinchwad, where he raped her.
The accused threatened the victim by taking her nude photos and even threatened to send them to her husband when she stopped answering his calls. Moreover, he also verbally abused the victim’s brother and sent a defamatory message to the WhatsApp family group of the victim.
The victim has filed a complaint regarding all these incidents at Chinchwad police station. However, the accused has not been arrested yet, and Chinchwad police are actively searching for him.
