Pune, 30 July 2020: Pune City Police have clarified that pass is required for inter-district movement as per the latest lockdown order of the Maharashtra government.

“As per Maharashtra State government ‘Mission Begin Again’ guidelines dated 29th July, the inter-district movement continues to be regulated. Non-essential movement should be avoided. For emergency inter-district travel, people can apply for passes on www.punepolice.in,” DCP (crime) Bachchan Singh informed Punekarnews.in.

When asked if a pass is required for inter-state travel, he added, “The pass is required since the person still has to travel within Maharashtra before crossing over to another state.”

People living in Pimpri Chinchwad police and Pune rural police jurisdiction will have to apply on covid19.mhpolice.in website to get e-pass for inter-district travel.

However, people staying in containment zones will not get the travel pass. Those living outside can apply at the given website. They will need a medical certificate from a registered doctor stating that they do not have any influenza-like symptoms. A photo is also needed besides a self-declaration stating that the applicant does not stay in the containment zone.
