Pune: “It’s Not Suicide, It’s Murder”: Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Vaishnavi Hagawane Death Case

Wakad, 24th May 2025: Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Environment, Ramdas Athawale, visited the Kaspate family, the parents of deceased Vaishnavi Hagawane.

Speaking to the media afterward, Athawale said, “This is not a suicide, this is murder. The police should treat this case as a murder investigation because the punishment for abetment to suicide is not as severe. I have spoken to DCP Vishal Gaikwad, who is overseeing the case. I will also speak to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey. My party and I are firm in our demands.”
