Pune: Jewellery Worth Rs 73 Lakh Stolen Senior Citizen’s House In Baner
Baner, 14th March 2022: Thieves broke into a senior citizen couple’s house and decamped with jewellery worth Rs 73 lakh. The incident took place at around 6 pm on Sunday at Shamlali plot in Baner.
A 74-year-old man has lodged a complaint at the Chatushrungi police station, Pune city police.
According to the police, the complainant is staying with his wife in Shamlali plot in Baner. He had gone to a relative’s house for dinner around 6 pm on Sunday. The thieves broke the window net of their house and entered the house. They stole Rs 50,000 in cash and Rs 73 lakh in gold and silver jewellery from the house.
Assistant Police Inspector Rajesh Malegaon is investigating the matter.
