Pune, September 12, 2020: After several controversies, Jumbo COVID Care Hospital located at the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) ground in Shivajinagar is finally providing satisfactory care to Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) affected patients.
Earlier every other day patients were relocated because of the shortage of oxygenated beds and medical staff. However, after the work is handled by new agency under the guidance of Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC), the need to relocate patients from the Jumbo facility to other hospitals has not been raised once in the last 7 days.”There is no reason to give discharge to patients against medical advice”, informed Rubal Agarwal, Additional Municipal Commissioner and Executive Head of the Jumbo COVID Care Centre.
This also means that patients are being given utmost care at the center. Meanwhile, five ICU ventilator beds were also set up at the Jumbo facility on Friday.”The service has improved. We are also interacting with many relatives of the patients via video call. They expressed satisfaction by the service provided at the facility”, Agarwal added.
