Pune: Kalyani Nagar’s Kukoo Bar Owner Booked for Noise Violation After Loud Music Disturbs Residents
Kalyani Nagar, 19th January 2026: Yerawada police have filed a case against the owner and manager of Kukoo Bar and Restaurant in Kalyani Nagar for violating public order and creating a nuisance, after loud music from the establishment disturbed local residents at midnight.
Police had issued a notice to the bar’s management on the same night, but the instructions were ignored. Following multiple complaints from residents, the authorities registered a formal case against the duo on Saturday.
Senior Inspector Anjum Bagwan of Yerawada police station said, “The music from the bar was extremely loud and disrupted the peace in the neighbourhood. Residents raised several complaints, prompting our patrolling team to check the site.”
He added, “When our team arrived, we could hear the music clearly and noticed around 16 patrons inside the bar. The officers seized the sound system and speakers to prevent further disturbance.”
Bagwan further stated, “The entire incident was documented on video, and a notice was handed to the management. Since there was no compliance, an FIR was formally registered against the bar owner and the manager on Saturday.”
