Pune: Katraj Post New Location Inaugurated
Katraj, 2nd January 2023: The Katraj Post office has been shifted to a new location at Survey No. 27/1/3/2/1, Rajas Society, Sukhsagar nagar, Katraj, Pune-411046. It was inaugurated at 12.00 pm on 2nd January by Simran Kaur, Director of Postal Services, Pune Region, Pune, with the guidance of Ramchandra Jayabhaye, Postmaster General, Pune Region, Pune. Dr Abhijit Ichake, Senior Superintendent of Post offices, Pune City West Division, and Manishatai Kadam, Ex-Corporator, were also present for the function.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) owns the new building of the Katraj Post office. Citizens residing in areas like Gujarwadi, Mangadewadi, Nimbalkarwadi, Bhilarewadi, Sukhsagarnagar and Katraj Gavthan will benefit from this new location of the Katraj Post office.
While addressing the audience present for the function, Simran Kaur informed them about various newly introduced schemes/services like AePS (Aadhar Enabled Payment System), IPPB(Indian Post Payments Bank), and others provided by the Department of Posts. While appealing for diversified services of the Department of Posts, the Director of Postal Services emphasized the connection and trust that Postman enjoys with people.
Dr Abhijit Ichake mentioned the cooperation received from Ravindra Binvade, Additional Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation and Rajendra Muthe, then Deputy Commissioner (Estate and Management), Pune Municipal Corporation, for new accommodation of the Katraj Post office.
While concluding the function, Manishatai Kadam, Rajabhau Kadam, and senior citizens expressed their gratitude towards the Department of Posts.
