Pune: KIRIT 2.0 concludes with team Wizards from Institute of Rural Management Anand, Gujarat announced as winner

Pune, December 23, 2021: The second edition of KIRIT, an inter-collegiate case analysis competition organized by Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies (KIAMS) Pune in association with Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL), Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL), Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (KFIL) and ARKA Fincap concluded with The Wizards team from Institute of Rural Management Anand, (IRMA)Gujarat winning the first spot and Disha team from IIM, Jammu winning as runner-up during the contest. The Final round of the competition in its 2nd year was held at KIAMS Pune campus.

 

The winning team members from IRMA from Gujarat including Dibyajyoti Mohanty, Vikram Kumar and Rajeev Ranjan received the cash prize of Rs 1,00,00 (One Lakh) while the runner up team IIM, Jammu consisting of members including Mrinalini Minal, Navpreet Hans and Dhruv Raj Singh received a cash prize of Rs 75,000 (Seventy five thousand).

 

Open for all 4-year full-time B.Tech/BE and 2-year full-time regular PGDM/ MBA students, KIRIT 2.0 aimed at providing an opportunity to young managerial minds for showcasing their critical thinking abilities in assessing and proposing solutions to real-life managerial challenges faced by organizations through presentations and case studies.

 

Atul Kirloskar, President, Governing Council, KIAMS, Mahesh Chhabria, MD, Kirloskar Industries, Sanjeev Nimkar, Managing Director & CEO, Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, R. V. Gumaste, Managing Director, Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited, K Srinivasan, Managing Director, Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited, Amarshekhar Bhonagiri, Vice President, Governing Council, KIAMS and Gauri Kirloskar, Managing Director, ARKA Fincap Limited were present during the event and also assessed the case study solutions of the participating teams.

 

With registration of a total of 767 teams, up to 2,301 contestants pan India participated in the event through ‘dare2compete’ platform, out of which 8 teams including The Wizards from IRMA Gujarat, Ad Men from IIM, Kashipur, Disha from IIM, Jammu, D from IIM, Ahmedabad, Co-orporate Goons from KJ Somaiya, Mumbai, Team Bajaj from JBIMS, Mumbai, Mavericks from NITIE, Mumbai and Kasukabe Defence Force from IET, Lucknow were qualified for the Finals.

 

The competition had 3 formats, which included a Quiz Round, during which the registered teams had to take an online quiz, following which the shortlisted teams had to participate Case Submission Round, where they had to submit their analysis of the case study and lastly the Finale Round, during which the qualified teams had to present their solutions to the senior leaders from the Kirloskar Group.
