Pune: Kirloskar Institute of Management Successfully Hosts KIRIT 4.0 – A Triumph in Managerial Excellence

Pune, 22nd February 2024: The Kirloskar Institute of Management (KIM) recently concluded the fourth edition of its prestigious national-level case analysis competition, KIRIT 4.0. This highly anticipated event proved to be the ultimate corporate case-study challenge, attracting participation from aspiring minds across India.

The KIRIT 4.0 semi-finals unfolded on February 19th in Harihar, Karnataka, followed by the grand finale on February 21st in Pune, Maharashtra. The competition served as a premier platform, drawing participants from diverse academic backgrounds to showcase their critical thinking abilities in tackling real-world managerial challenges.

Open to 4-year full-time B.Tech/BE, 2-year full-time regular PGDM/MBA, and 3-year full-time undergraduate students, KIRIT 4.0 aimed to provide a level playing field for participants to demonstrate their ingenuity and problem-solving acumen. Teams of three members each, from the same institute but not necessarily from the same academic year, competed in a series of challenging rounds.

Prestigious institutions like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), various B-schools, and universities from across India participated. A staggering 24,699 students from 29 states registered, forming 26,000 teams. After a rigorous selection process, 550 teams were shortlisted for case analysis, with 12 advancing to the semi-finals and 8 to the grand finale.

The journey through KIRIT 4.0 included:
– Round 1: Online Quiz
– Round 2: Online Case Study Submission
– Round 3: On-Ground Semi-Final at Harihar Campus – 12 Teams
– Round 4: On-Ground Finale at Pune Campus – 8 Teams

Participants were assessed for their analytical prowess, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills throughout each stage.

The triumphant winners of KIRIT 4.0 were Yash Parte, Gunjan Ghanwat, and Shitiz from SCM HRD, Pune, receiving a cash prize of Rs. 100,000. They also earned the opportunity for an exclusive internship interview at the esteemed Kirloskar Group. The runner-up team comprised Himaangi Gupta, Harshit, and Shitiz from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS), University of Delhi (DU), Delhi, receiving a cash prize of Rs. 75,000.

The Vice-President of the governing council and the Director of KIM congratulated the winning participants, acknowledging their exceptional performance in this fiercely competitive event.
