Pune Knowledge Cluster Launches ‘AInspire’ Series to Explore AI’s Impact on Society
Pune, 1st October 2026: The Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC) is launching ‘AInspire – Artificial Intelligence for Society & Impact’, a public-facing talk series aimed at bringing discussions on artificial intelligence (AI), its applications, opportunities and implications closer to society.
The series will explore AI beyond its technological aspects, covering areas such as creativity, scientific research, healthcare, climate, mobility, education, ethics and the future of work.
With AI rapidly expanding across sectors, PKC said AInspire is intended to make conversations around the technology accessible to college students, educators, professionals and the general public. The initiative will bring together experts working at the intersection of AI, science and society to discuss the use of emerging technologies in addressing real-world challenges.
The sessions will cover themes including AI in scientific research and discovery, healthcare and precision medicine, climate and environmental monitoring, biodiversity and conservation, sustainable mobility, education, creativity, ethics and the future of work.
Inaugural session on AI and creativity
The first session, organised by PKC in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, will focus on the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and human creativity.
Titled ‘Being Creative in the Era of AI’, the inaugural talk will be delivered by Prof. Sutirth Dey of IISER Pune.
The session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 6 pm to 7 pm at IISER Pune.
The discussion will examine how AI is changing the way people create, think and work, and what these changes could mean for writers, artists, scientists, educators and society.
It will also address the opportunities and limitations of AI, along with questions around ethics, critical thinking, human judgement and the continuing role of creativity in an AI-enabled world.
PKC said the session is designed for a broad audience and does not require specialised technical knowledge.
