Pune, 1st April 2024: A late-night fire engulfed a car and a tempo parked along the roadside in the Mundhwa area, leaving both vehicles completely gutted. The blaze erupted in the Borate Wasti vicinity on old Mundhwa Road. The incident took place around 2 am.

The fiery scene was punctuated by billowing smoke, prompting concerned citizens to alert the fire brigade.

Swiftly responding to the call, Fire Officer Subhash Jadhav and his team of firefighters rushed to the scene. With commendable efficiency, they battled the blaze using water, successfully bringing it under control. No injuries were reported in the incident, confirmed Central Chief of the Fire Brigade, Subhash Jadhav.

Despite their efforts, the cause of the fire remains undetermined, casting a shadow of mystery over the incident. Mundhwa police have launched an investigation upon receiving the report, focusing on the possibility of foul play. Initial suspicions point towards arson, particularly targeting the tempo and the motor. Authorities continue their probe to unravel the circumstances surrounding the fire and identify any potential perpetrators.
