Pune: Learning Licence Online Distribution Process Started

Pune, 25th June 2021: On the background of Covid-19, the Department of Transport has started an online system to conduct a test and distribute learner’s licence informed Atul Aade, Deputy Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Pimpri-Chinchwad.

As per Central Motor Vehicle Rule 11, the examination prescribed by the Central Government is mandatory for the candidate while applying for a learner license. So this helps to create responsible driving. While using this system, parents should convince their child of the importance of this test and also make them aware that this system will not be misused.

Instructions have been issued to the concerned Motor Vehicle Inspectors/ Six Motor Vehicle Inspectors to take necessary police action against the applicants, concerned intermediaries, unauthorized persons who misuse the online facilities. An applicant convicted in this case will be permanently ineligible to hold a license under Section 19E of the Motor Vehicle Act.

Accordingly, the police department has also been directed to take necessary action against Maha e-service centres, motor driving schools and internet cafes. Citizens are requested to report such irregularities to the local Sub-Regional Transport Office, Pimpri Chinchwad. The press release also said that if the Aadhaar card number, information and photographs are displayed incorrectly on the website or not displayed then the National Information Center (NIC) Delhi and Pune will rectify the problem.
