Pune Local Train Services Hit: Shivajinagar Becomes Key Origin/ Termination Point After Disruptions

Pune, 28th April 2026: Suburban train services on the Pune–Lonavala and Pune–Talegaon sections were significantly affected on Tuesday, with multiple local trains cancelled, short-terminated, or short-originated following the disruption near Pune Railway Station.

An internal railway document indicates that several local services have been regulated to operate from or up to Shivajinagar Railway Station instead of Pune station.

Railway officials have shifted suburban operations away from Pune station yard due to ongoing restoration work, making Shivajinagar a temporary operational hub for local train movements.
