Pune: Lonavla Police Bust Prostitution Racket At Hotel, 2 Women Rescued

Lonavla, 31st December 2022: The Assistant Superintendent of Police Satyasai Karthik of the Lonavla subdivision has launched a crackdown on illegal activities. After taking action against the illegal liquor trade in the early days, and now the prostitution racket has been exposed in a hotel in Lonavla.

A team of police from the Lonavla sub-division raided the place on Friday around 5.15 pm after receiving the information that women were engaged in the prostitution business in a hotel along the national highway in Lonavla city.

Hotel owner Satish H Shetty (59), a resident of Sudarshan Hotel, Lonavla, and his female accomplice have been booked by Lonavla City Police Station. Two women have been rescued.

According to the information provided by the Lonavla City Police, the accused was engaged in the prostitution business by inviting women to prostitution in Sudarshan Lodge for their financial gain and accepting payment for the said business.

After getting a tip-off, a team conducted a raid at the hotel.
