Parvati, 23rd November 2024: Sitting MLA of the Parvati constituency, Madhuri Misal, from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has won for the fourth consecutive time, defeating Nationalist Congress Party – Sharad Pawar (NCP-SP) candidate Ashwini Kadam by a margin of 54,660 votes.

Despite Kadam’s backing from veteran leader Sharad Pawar and anti-incumbency sentiments against Madhuri Misal, Misal secured a comfortable victory. Misal has now become a four-time MLA.

As in many other constituencies, voters in Parvati favoured the Mahayuti alliance. Parvati had 3.54 lakh registered voters, with a turnout of 55.26%, which worked in Misal’s favour. Additionally, Misal faced competition from another aspirant, Shrinath Bhimale, who withdrew his candidacy and campaigned for her instead.

Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol also supported her campaign. Now, supporters of Madhuri Misal are calling for her to be given a cabinet position, given her impressive four-time consecutive win.
