The decision comes after a request by Member of Parliament Supriya Sule, who urged that Asavari Jagdale be honored with a bravery award on Maharashtra Day, 1st May, and that she be provided a government job by the state.

In a significant move, the Maharashtra government has also decided to provide financial assistance of ₹50 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. Furthermore, one member from each deceased person’s family will be offered a government job. This was announced during a Cabinet meeting, where the government paid heartfelt tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam incident.
