Pune: Maharashtra HSC Board Opens Online Applications for Class 12 Exams 2026 from September 8
Pune, 5th September 2025: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has announced that the online application process for the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC – Class 12) examinations will begin on Monday, September 8.
Who Can Apply?
The process isn’t limited to just regular students. Applications will be open for:
Regular students from junior colleges
Students enrolled in vocational courses
Repeaters from all streams
Private students with registration certificates
Candidates under the Grade Improvement Scheme
Students appearing for isolated subjects
ITI students under the Transfer of Credit system
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online through the official website www.mahahsscboard.in
Once the forms are filled, junior colleges can access a pre-list of applicants through their login.
To ensure accuracy:
Students must sign against their details after verification.
Principals are required to certify the pre-list with a seal and signature on every page.
Important Dates
Start of application process: September 8, 2025
Deadline: September 30, 2025
The application window covers students of Science, Arts, and Commerce streams through the U-DISE Plus Pen-ID system.
State Board Secretary Devdas Kulal urged all junior colleges and higher secondary schools to complete the process on time. “Accuracy and timeliness are crucial. Delays or last-minute errors can cause unnecessary stress for students,” he said.
The Class 12 exam is a gateway to higher education and competitive exams. With lakhs of students expected to appear in 2026, the online system aims to streamline applications and reduce paperwork for both students and institutions.
