Pune Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Minor Girl And Blackmailing Her Into Marriage
Pune, 10th March 2023: A 23-year-old man, Nagesh Raju Chavan, has been accused of sexually abusing a minor girl, taking photos and videos of her, and blackmailing her into marriage. The case has been registered at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station under Pune city police.
The victim, now 19 years old, has filed a complaint stating that the incident took place between 14 February 2021 and 7 February 2023, during which time she was a minor. The accused and the victim live in the same area and he pretended to be in love with her to gain her trust.
The accused took the victim to Sheetal Lodge in Dhankawadi, where he forced her to have sexual relations with him and recorded photos and videos of the act. Using this as leverage, he repeatedly raped and blackmailed her.
On February 2, the accused went to the victim’s college and attempted to force her into marriage. When she refused, he threatened to kill himself. He later took her to Solapur, where they got married at Rupa Bhavani Temple on February 3.
The victim managed to escape and reach her father’s house, where she informed him of the situation. The matter was then brought to the attention of the authorities, leading to the registration of the case.
