Pune: Man Dies After Being Impaled By Bull’s Horn At Bullock Cart Race

Pune, 14th April 2023: A tragic incident occurred during a bullock cart race organized for the Yatra festival of Bhairavanath Maharaj at Talegaon Dhamdhere in Shirur taluka of Pune district.

A 35-year-old man, Vrishal Balasaheb Raut, lost his life after being impaled by a bull’s horn while removing the bull from the cart.

The bullock cart race was being held at Bailgada Ghat on the border of Kasari and Talegaon Dhamdhere villages, and a large crowd had gathered to witness the event. Vrishal had come to watch the race with his family, but unfortunately, a moment of carelessness resulted in his untimely death. He died on the spot due to a deep wound in his chest caused by the bull’s horn.

Yogesh Raut lodged a complaint at Shikrapur police station, and a case of accidental death has been registered. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the Yatra of Talegaon, and the loss of Vrishal is being mourned by all.
