Pune: Marathi Film Actor Aniket Vishwasrao Booked For Domestic Violence
Kothrud, 17th November 2021: Pune city police has registered an FIR against Marathi film and drama actor Aniket Vishwasrao for allegedly harassing his wife. He beat her fearing she would become a bigger headliner than him in the field of acting, police complaint stated.
Based on a complaint from his actress-wife Sneha (29), a resident of Kothrud, Alankar police station has registered the case against Aniket Vishwasrao, his father Chandrasekhar Vishwasrao and mother Aditi Vishwasrao, all residents of Vishwasrao Residency, Mumbai.
According to police, both Aniket and Sneha worked together on a few projects and fell in love and got married. Aniket allegedly has been having an affair. He purportedly punished Sneha by withholding physical intimacy from her for fear that she’d be a bigger star than him. He reportedly repeatedly threatened to kill her.
The complaint alleges that he harassed and humiliated her publicly as well as at home. The complaint also alleges that Sneha’s father-in-law, Chandrasekhar and mother-in-law Aditi were aware of and allegedly encouraged Aniket’s atrocities because they allegedly believed that his wife would be the bigger headliner.
