Pune: Massive Fire Breaks Out In Wooden Shed At Bhavani Peth, Damages Goods
Pune, 23rd February 2023: Today, at around 11:02 am, a fire broke out near Nishat Talkies in Bhavani Peth, Pune, prompting the fire department to dispatch two fire trucks and a water tanker to the scene. According to witnesses, the fire erupted in a wooden shed in an open field measuring roughly 3,000 square feet, and quickly spread to a nearby garage, causing significant damage to goods and furniture inside.
Quick action by the firefighters, who promptly sprayed water onto the blaze and controlled the situation within 15 to 25 minutes, prevented the flames from spreading further. Additional fire trucks from Kasba and Gangadham were also called to provide assistance.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Fire department officials, including Gajanan Pathrudkar, Pradip Khedekar, and Atul Mohite, along with vehicle drivers Ketan Sathe, Sandip Thorat, Prashant Makhare, and Tandel Mangesh, and jawans Chandrakant Gawade, Chandrakant Ananda, Digambar Bandivadekar, Santosh Argaade, Ganesh Lonare, Sudhir Nawale, Chandu Menase, Akshay Dikshit, and Sagar Shirke were present at the site to extinguish the fire.
