Pune, 12th September 2026: Pune Metro has issued a special travel advisory for devotees using the Metro to visit Ganeshotsav decorations and pandals, urging passengers to use alternative stations to avoid overcrowding at Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station.

According to the advisory, devotees travelling on Line 1 from PCMC towards Swargate are requested to alight at Kasba Peth Metro Station and proceed towards their destination for Ganpati darshan.

Passengers travelling on Line 2 from Vanaz towards Ramwadi have been advised to get off at PMC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Udyan or Deccan Gymkhana Metro stations and continue their journey on foot or by other available modes.

Pune Metro has specifically requested devotees to avoid alighting at Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station during the onward journey, as the station is expected to witness heavy crowds during Ganeshotsav.

The Metro authorities have suggested that Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station be used primarily for the return journey, helping distribute passenger movement across nearby stations.

The advisory is aimed at ensuring smoother passenger movement and reducing congestion at stations located close to major Ganeshotsav attractions.

Pune Metro has urged devotees to cooperate with the arrangements for a safe and comfortable journey during the festival.
