Pune Metro, Police Conduct Mock Drill at Mandai Station Ahead of Ganeshotsav

Mandai, 4th Septembet 2026: Pune Metro and the Pune Police conducted a mock drill at Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station on Friday as part of preparations for the upcoming Ganeshotsav.
The exercise was organised to assess the preparedness of security and emergency response agencies to deal with any untoward or disruptive incident at sensitive locations and ensure a prompt and effective response during an emergency.
The mock drill also aimed to strengthen coordination between different agencies so that emergency situations can be handled efficiently and response mechanisms can be activated without delay.
Officials and personnel from Pune Metro and the Pune Police administration participated in the exercise.
The drill is part of the preparations being undertaken ahead of Ganeshotsav, when a large number of people are expected to travel through the city and use public transport, including the Metro.
