Pune: Minor Boy Injured After German Shepherd Attack in Pimpri-Chinchwad; Video Goes Viral
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 19th October 2025: A minor boy was injured after being bitten by a German Shepherd dog whose owner allegedly released its leash carelessly. The incident took place in Sector No. 12, Swarajya Nagari, Pimpri-Chinchwad, on Saturday, and a video of the attack has since gone viral on social media.
According to eyewitnesses, children were playing in the society premises when the pet owner approached with the dog. The owner reportedly removed the dog’s leash, following which the dog chased the children. The German Shepherd bit one of the boys on his left leg, causing him to fall. In an attempt to defend himself, the boy kicked the dog.
Residents rushed to the spot and expressed outrage over the owner’s negligence. Locals have demanded strict action against the pet owner, alleging that the carelessness could have resulted in a more serious injury.

The boy reportedly sustained injuries to his leg and was later given medical treatment.
