Pune: MLA Pathare Criticizes Administration Over Delay In Opening Lohgaon Sub-District Hospital; Urgent Directives Issued For Completion Of Pending Work

Lohgaon, 23rd May 2025: A crucial meeting to expedite the opening of the long-delayed Lohgaon Sub-District Hospital was held on Wednesday (22nd May), under the chairmanship of MLA Bapusaheb Pathare. Despite the hospital building being completed years ago, the facility has remained non-operational, leading to mounting public frustration.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the status of incomplete work at the hospital. Essential infrastructure such as pending construction, water supply lines, drainage systems, and electrical connections were identified as key issues delaying the opening. MLA Pathare firmly directed the concerned departments to take immediate action and complete the remaining work without further delay.
Speaking at the meeting, MLA Pathare said, “Residents have been waiting for this hospital for many years. It is unfortunate that although the building stands ready, healthcare services have not yet begun. I have raised this issue multiple times during budget sessions, and it is no longer acceptable to keep the citizens waiting. This hospital will bring much-needed relief to Lohgaon and surrounding areas.” Additionally, the hospital will help ease the burden on Sassoon Hospital and strengthen the public healthcare system.
Following the session, Pathare visited the hospital site with officials to inspect the current status of the facility. He reiterated his commitment by declaring that he will not rest until the hospital is fully functional, emphasizing that the health of local citizens remains a top priority.
