Pune : MNS Workers Booked For Vandalising Medical College Dean’s Office

Pune 10th August 2023: The Pune City Police have booked the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers for vandalising the office of the medical college dean who was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for demanding a bribe from a student. The MNS workers on Wednesday while protesting against the dean barged into his office and vandalised it. The vandalism was recorded on camera.

Earlier on Tuesday, the ACB officials had arrested a dean of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) run Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College Ashish Banginwar for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from a student for admission. The accused dean had demanded Rs 16 lakh from a student who had cleared the NEET exam and was selected at the college in Pune.

According to reports, two computers and chairs were vandalised by the MNS workers. Police have booked Ashish Sable, Prashant Kanojia, Dhananjay Gawli and 5 to 6 others in the matter. A case has been registered at Faraskhana Police Station under relevant sections. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
