Pune: MP Dr. Medha Kulkarni Vows to Restore Hindustan Antibiotics’ Past Glory

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 16th January 2025: Member of Parliament Dr. Medha Kulkarni has pledged to work towards restoring the past glory of Hindustan Antibiotics (HA), a renowned pharmaceutical company in Pune district with a history spanning over 70 years. She assured employees of addressing their long-standing issues, including pending salary hikes and challenges in drug manufacturing.

Dr. Kulkarni recently assumed the role of president of the Hindustan Antibiotics Employees’ Association. A meeting was organized at the company, where she met with Managing Director Neerja Saraf and other department heads to discuss employee concerns and the company’s operational challenges. Later, she addressed a gathering of employees, reaffirming her commitment to resolving their grievances.

Dr. Kulkarni announced her intention to meet Union Minister Jagat Prasad Nadda, who oversees the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, to discuss the pending salary hike and other critical matters. She emphasized the need for collaborative efforts, stating that she would work to arrange a meeting with Minister Nadda, the company’s Managing Director Neerja Saraf, and key representatives of the employee organization to seek solutions.

The event was attended by prominent figures from Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, including Balasaheb Bhujbal, General Secretary Vijay Patil, and other office bearers such as Balasaheb Jadhav, Dhananjay Deshmukh, and Gopinath Shelke. Several employees and representatives, including Sujata Tambe, Kailas Shinde, Shivprasad Karamkar, Vinayak Borkhade, and many others, were also present at the meeting.
