Pune: MSIHMCT Hosts ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ Themed High Tea Event
Shivajinagar, 18th October 2024: On 15th October, the students and faculty of the Maharashtra State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Degree) embarked on a thrilling adventure, transporting themselves to the era of Phileas Fogg’s epic journey.
The occasion was a High Tea event, coinciding with the celebration of Vachan Prerna Din, with the theme inspired by Jules Verne’s classic novel, Around the World in 80 Days. The event was graced by notable guests including Rajarshi Guria, Executive Chef at Hotel Pride, RJ Saurabh from Radio Mirchi, Ujwala Sonawane, Principal of Magarpatta College of Hospitality, Karuna Patil, Founder of Ruturang Cultural Group, and Gauri Mehendale, Co-Founder of N+One Foundation.
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with a refreshing drink and invited to explore a vast buffet spread, which was a culinary journey in itself. The buffet featured an array of savory and sweet delights, showcasing the diversity of cuisines from around the world, carefully selected to represent each country Phileas Fogg visited during his 80-day odyssey.
MSIHMCT students played a crucial role in conceptualizing, planning, and executing the event, demonstrating their creativity and hospitality skills. The event was a testament to the institute’s commitment to excellence in hospitality and culinary arts. With full hearts and satisfied palates, the guests bid farewell to their fellow travelers, leaving with memories of an unforgettable High Tea experience. The event exemplified the power of food, hospitality, and imagination in bringing people together and creating lasting memories.
