Pune: MSRTC buses today complete 164 trips on 35 routes

Pune August 20, 2020: After a gap of around five months a Shivneri bus departed from Pune station to Dadar at 8.30 am. The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) started running buses from August 20. The buses conducted 164 trips on 35 routes.

Dnyaneshwar Ranavare, Divisional Traffic Manager of Pune MSRTC Division said “As many as 164 trips were conducted on 35 routes by ST buses today. The first bus departed from Pune station to Dadar at 8.30 am. Shivneri buses departed from Pune to Dadar, Borivali and Thane, while Shiv Shahi buses departed for Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Nashik and Solapur, ordinary ST buses departed for Pandharpur, Solapur, Konkan and Marathwada.”

The state government had announced yesterday to run ST buses after five months. Now people can travel inter-district in MSRTC buses without any e-pass. The buses are being released every hour from Pune.
