Pune-Mumbai-pune Pragati Express will be running in fascinated look from 4th November

03 NOV 2018 PUNE: Pragati Express which runs between Pune and Mumbai will be running in renovated form from 4th November.
It will be flag off by Anil Shirole, Member of Parliament, Pune at 7.50am on Pune railway station.
Pune division of Central railway has renovated and modernized it internally as well as externally with all modern facilities under project Utkrisht.
Pune depot of Indian railway has upgraded all bogies under project Utkrisht. All boogies from outside painted with P. U Painting which has anti graphity coating helps to remain as a dust free.
Internally it has been decorated with fascinating look of graphity vinyl rapping coach.
Passage of bogie is rolled with red carpet. Histroric, cultural and tourist paintings are also hung in coach.
Digital clock and electronic information board are also fixed.
Seat numbers in braille script are used first time.
Coach is made with special type ventilation window helps to breathe in fresh air.
Information of emergency number is also displayed. Coach is designed by Vijaysingh Dadas, senior zonal mechanical engineer, coach depot officer Kupdeep Raghuvanshi, and assistant zonal mechanical engineer Parth Adhikari. Information is issued in press release by pune division of Indian railway.
Sunil Udasi, Chief Public Relations Officer, said that Central Railway has 5 trains (10 rakes) identified for upgradation under Utkrisht project. Upgradation of each rake is expected to cost about Rs.60 lakh.

Background:
Pragati Express was introduced on 27.12.1991.
From 7.7.2012, it was diverted via Karjat-Panvel-Diva on trial basis.
From 31.7.2012, the diversion was made permanent.
