Pune: NDA cadets display inspiring acts of combat and adventure

Khadakwasla, 30th November 2022: As a prelude to the Passing out Parade (POP), a Physical Training and Equestrian Display exhibiting exceptional standards of skills acquired through various aspects of military training was conducted at Bombay Stadium, National Defence Academy (NDA) on 29th November. It involved spectacular awe inspiring acts of combat and adventure.

 

The display was graced by Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) and Kala Hari Kumar, President, NWWA. The audience also included, various senior dignitaries of military, officials of the Academy, the proud parents of the Passing Out Course and the cadets of 143rd Course. The display started with welcome of the august gathering by the standing salute and flag hoisting in a true cavalry tradition. The event show cased an ensemble of 250 cadets and 72 horses displaying high standards of training, complete synchronization of actions and physical excellence.

 

 

The cadets of the NDA demonstrated a display of Jointmanship that involved synchronized attack by Navy and Air Force followed by an Infantry Platoon assault and capture of enemy bunkers. The Griffin team of the elite Marine Commandos performed sky diving and landed in the Bombay Stadium. Equestrian Training Team showcased their exceptional riding skills which were followed by the Para Motors display, a new form of flight that is rare to witness. This was followed by a mass display of gymnastics, Power Yoga and ended with a mesmerizing musical ride by mounted cavalry.
