Pune: NDRF Rescues 37 Passengers Stranded in Waterlogged Bus Near Ghorawadi Railway Station
Talegaon, 6th July 2026: The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) successfully rescued 37 passengers who were stranded inside a private bus due to severe waterlogging near Ghorawadi Railway Station in Maval taluka of Pune district.
According to the NDRF, Team 5HQR of the 05 Battalion responded promptly after receiving information about the incident. The rescue team reached the spot and safely evacuated all 37 passengers from the stranded bus.
The operation was carried out amid waterlogged conditions, ensuring that all passengers were brought to safety without any reported injuries.
Heavy rainfall has triggered waterlogging in several parts of Pune district, prompting emergency response teams to remain on high alert. Authorities have urged citizens to avoid travelling through flooded areas and to follow official advisories during periods of intense rainfall.
