Pune: Nigerian Citizen Arrested With Cocaine Worth Rs 4.16 Lakh

Kondhwa, 22 April 2021: The officials from the anti-narcotics cell of Pune city police Crime Branch have arrested a Nigerian national and seized narcotic substance Cocaine worth Rs 4.16 lakh from his possession.

On April 21 (Wednesday), a team from Anti-Narcotics Squad 1 was patrolling in the Kondhwa police station area, when they learnt about Nigerian national Shamsiddin Omotola Hasan (48), a resident of Pisoli, selling drugs near Brooke Field society gate in Pisoli around 2.50 am. Accordingly, the team reached there and nabbed him and seized 52 grams of Cocaine, five mobile phones, a motorcycle, an electronic weighing machine and Rs 20,000 cash from his possession.

An FIR has been registered against him at Kondhwa police station for offences under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The action was taken by the Crime Branch team under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ashok Morale, DCP (Crime) Shriniwas Ghadge, ACP (Crime 1) Surendranath Deshmukh and Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad.

 

The team included Assistant Police Inspector Laxman Dhengale and police personnel Pravin Shirke, Sujit Wadekar, Maruti Pardhi, Pandurang Pawar, Rahul Joshi, Sandeep Jadhav, Manoj Salunke, Pravin Uttekar, Sandesh Kakade, Vishal Dalvi, Vishal Shinde and Yogesh Mohite.
