Pune: Nigerian national arrested for selling drugs, MD worth Rs 12 lakh seized

Pune, 23rd July 2022: Anti-narcotics cell of Pune city police has arrested a Nigerian national for selling drugs. The police seized 82 grams of narcotic drug MD worth Rs 12 lakh.

The arrested person has been identified as Chukwimeka Kennedy Enyakora (44), who resides in Khadki, and hails from Lagos, Nigeria. A case has been registered at Chatushringi police station against him.

According to the police, the police officers and personnel of the Anti-Narcotics Cell (No. 1) were patrolling within the limits of Chatushringi police station. At that time, the police received a tip-off that a Nigerian national had stopped to sell narcotics near the garbage transfer station on the road leading to Spicer College from Bremen Chowk in Aundh. Accordingly, a police team laid a trap at the spot and nabbed Enyakora.

Police seized 82 grams 540 milligrams MD drug, cash and mobile phone totally worth Rs 12.38 lakh.

The action was taken by a team comprising Assistant Police Inspector Shailja Jankar, Laxman Dhengle, Police Personnel Maruti Pardhi, Manoj Salunke, Sandeep Jadhav, Rahul Joshi, Pandurang Pawar under the guidance of Police Inspector Vinayak Gaikwad.
