Pune: Now All Historical Buildings, Forts, Monuments, Museums Open For People; District Collector Issues Guidelines

Pune, 5th January 2021: All the historical buildings, forts, monuments, museums in the district are being approved to be opened following the guidelines regarding Covid-19, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh gave the order today.

According to the letter from the Archaeological Department, historical buildings, forts, monuments, museums have been closed since March 31, 2020, in connection with the Covid-19 outbreak.

Pune district has inherited various historical buildings. Various historical buildings, forts, monuments, museums in the district. Etc. Every year a large number of fort lovers and tourists visit the place. This tourism provides employment to a large number of locals. There is a constant demand to open historical buildings, forts, monuments, museums in the district for tourists/citizens with proper preventive measures against the Covid-19 virus.

District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh today ordered that all the historical structures, forts, monuments, museums in the district be allowed to open in accordance with the guidelines regarding COVID19. It will be mandatory to adopt the standard operating system. It will also be mandatory to – maintain the required physical distance, use masks, and wash hands from time to time. Failure to comply with the order will result in disciplinary action under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 – the order stated.
