Pune July 17, 2020: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will now be providing buses for passengers coming to the airport and railway station. The decision was taken after the District Collector’s instruction.

PMPML Traffic Manager Anant Waghmare said, “PMPML will be providing five buses at the Pune Airport and 10 buses at the Pune Railway Station. The buses at the airport will serve passengers arriving under the Vande Bharat Mission. Passengers would have to pay Rs 70 for availing the bus service.”

Due to the strict lockdown started from July 14, passengers coming from different states to Pune railway station are suffering due to non-availability of other modes of transport to travel to their final destinations. The Pune traffic police have only allowed autorickshaw and cabs through Cityglide Auto and Book2ride.

Presently, there is only one special train running from Pune to Danapur (Bihar). There is also a lockdown announced in Bihar. The railway authorities have also requested for city transport for those going to Patna.
