Pune: Now Vaccination Priority For Lactating Mothers, Physically Disabled People

Pune, 28th May 2021: Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) decided that the vaccination priority will now be given to lactating mothers and handicapped people in the city. A reserve quota has been allocated for these people, and vaccines will be given at various vaccination centres.

 

The vaccination is being done at 94 centres today. The ‘Covishield’ vaccine is given at 94 centres while Covaxin is being provided at 15 centres for the 2nd dose. Each centre has 100 doses of the vaccine, out of which 60 percent quota is allocated to people who took the appointment through online booking on Cowin.gov.in

People who took the 1st dose of Covishield before 4th March and those who completed the 84 days will be given 2nd dose of vaccine on a priority basis. The remaining vaccines will be given to handicapped people, lactating mothers, frontline workers, health care employees and above 45 years old people present at the vaccination centres. For this on the spot booking will be made available. Everyday online booking begins at 8 am.
