Pune: Online Applications Invited for ST Welfare Schemes under Nucleus Budget 2025–26

Ghodgaon, 3rd June 2025: The Integrated Tribal Development Project Office has opened the application window for Scheduled Tribe (ST) beneficiaries to avail various economic assistance schemes under the Government of India’s Nucleus Budget for the financial year 2025–26.

The schemes, which aim to support livelihood development and entrepreneurship within tribal communities, are open to residents of Pune, Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur districts. Online applications will be accepted from June 2 to July 15 through the official tribal development portal.

Assistance for Individuals:
Eligible ST individuals can apply for financial support in areas such as:

-Purchase of fishing nets (masejāḷi)
-Farming toolkits and weighing machines
-Setting up chili grinding units
-Launching tourism-related ventures
-Operating crab-based food stalls (crab hotels)

Support for Groups and Societies:
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and registered co-operative societies can seek aid for:

-Catering equipment
-Brick kiln setups
-Banjo bands
-Honey collection and sales
-Crab hatcheries
-Roadside eateries (dhabas)

Project Officer Pradeep Desai highlighted that this initiative is part of an effort to promote economic self-reliance among tribal populations. He also emphasized that applicants from PESA (Panchayats Extension to Scheduled Areas) regions must upload a Gram Sabha resolution if applying for individual benefits.

Only Scheduled Tribe members are eligible for the scheme. Authorities have urged all eligible individuals and groups to submit their applications before the July 15 deadline to benefit from the centrally funded program.
