Pune : Over 10K Citizens Apply For PMAY Scheme For Pimpri And Akurdi Projects

Pune 28th August 2023: The deadline to submit applications for Pradhan Mantri Avaas Yojna (PMAY) ended yesterday with over 10,000 people from Pimpri Chinhwad applied for the scheme online. The applications were called for the projects being set up at Akurdi and Pimpri.

A total of 10,108 applications were received under the PMAY scheme for the projects at Akurdi and Pimpri, said Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh. The municipal corporation had started accepting applications for the scheme from financially weak citizens whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh from June 28 while the last date to submit the applications was August 27.

A total of 568 flats are supposed to be built in Akurdi for which 4,638 applications have been received while a total of 370 flats are to be built in Pimpri for which 6,693 applications have been received, said officials.
