Hinjawadi, 20th November 2025: The Regional Office of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Hinjawadi, conducted an awareness seminar at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Chinchwad, on Thursday to brief employers and employees on two major initiatives — the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana and the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2025 (EEC 2025). The event saw a strong turnout from industry representatives.

Addressing participants, Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner (Pune Zone) Pankaj Raman, the chief guest, said EPFO has been designated as the implementing agency for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, which will be in force from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2027. The scheme provides a government-funded incentive of ₹15,000 to new employees joining their first job on or after 1 August 2025 and becoming EPF members. The amount will be released in two instalments.

He said the programme also offers substantial benefits for employers. Under the scheme, employers will receive incentives up to:
– ₹1,000 for new employees earning up to ₹10,000 per month
– ₹2,000 for those earning between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000
– ₹3,000 for employees earning above ₹20,000 and up to ₹1 lakh
Raman clarified that employers need only update their establishment PAN, bank details, and GST number on the EPFO portal and authenticate their application using a digital signature or e-signature to register for the scheme.

The seminar also detailed the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2025, launched on 1 November 2025, which aims to bring into the EPF network employees who joined between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025 but were not enrolled earlier. Employers can now register these workers by depositing only the employer’s share along with a nominal penalty. EEC 2025 will remain open for enrolment until 30 April 2026.

Raman added that EPFO safely manages and deposits monthly contributions of nearly 7.5 crore EPF members across the country.

Hinjawadi Regional Commissioner-I Bijayant Kumar appealed to establishments to utilise both schemes, noting that 650 establishments in the region have already registered under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana and nearly 12,000 new employees have been enrolled. Regional Commissioner-II Sachin Borate was also present.

From Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, HR Head Vijay Gole encouraged employers and employees to complete their registrations promptly to take full advantage of the government’s new employment-linked incentives.
